Water Policy Committee
The next LAFCO Water Policy Committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday,
September 23, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 520 of the County Governmental
Center at 701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz. Written comments must be submitted
to the LAFCO staff no later than September 15th to be included in the
agenda packet for the September 23rd committee meeting.

requesting to be put on the email public notice list for the Water Policy
Committee meetings.

The Water Policy Committee makes progress reports to the whole Commission
at each LAFCO meeting.

September 1st Meeting Cancelled
Due to a lack of public hearing items, the September 1st meeting of LAFCO
has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for September 29, 2010
at 9:30 a.m. in Room 525 of the County Governmental Center, 701 Ocean
Street, Santa Cruz.

LAFCO Budget for Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2010
On April 7, 2010, LAFCO held a public hearing on its budget for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 2010. On May 5, 2010, LAFCO conducted a public
hearing and adopted a final budget.

Protest Thresholds
If LAFCO approves an annexation or other boundary change application,
the state law provides a period in which voters and property owners within
the affected area may file written protest with the LAFCO Executive Officer.
