In 2022, LAFCO conducted a service and sphere review for the City of Capitola. As part of the Commission’s recommendation, the City was tasked to analyze their current sphere of influence to determine if it reflects their future growth opportunities. Based on the LAFCO report, in addition to the City’s sphere study in 2025, LAFCO has determined that a sphere amendment may be warranted. Below are links to key reports:
